Promotions Of Ministerial Staff Cleared; Sarpanches Start Protests | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Even as the panchayati raj department on Friday cleared the way for the promotions of ministerial employees, who have been on mass leave since April 10 and staging protests, Rajasthan Sarpanch Sangh started staging protests and holding public meetings at all the district headquarters on Friday.
After the panchayati raj department issued a notification about the promotion of ministerial employees on Friday, Rajasthan State Ministerial Employees Federation (RSMEF) expressed gratitude to the government and urged it to fulfill their remaining their ten remaining demands.
Members of RSMEF have been on mass leave since April 10 to protest the state government’s delay in fulfilling their demands. Friday was the 19th day of the mahapadav organised by the ministerial employees at Mansarovar.
Rajasthan Sarpanch Sangh started protests against the delay in the release of development grants amounting to Rs 4,033 crore for the development of the panchayats. Over 11,000 sarpanches plan to gherao the CM’s residence in Jaipur and take out a rally to the CM’s residence on May 15.
