‘rivalry Database’ Of Nagaur Police Foils Gang War, 6 Held | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Nagaur police’s “rivalry database” has helped avert another spell of bloodletting after a special team arrested six suspects planning to bump off a criminal in a court. Nagaur SP Ram Moorty Joshi said police on Wednesday arrested six men who were plotting to kill one Vicky Netad during a court hearing on Tuesday.
Police said Netad was involved in the murder of Balveer alias Ballu in 2020 and Narpat Saran last year. The supporters of Ballu and Saran for a long time planned to kill Netad.
The accused learned that police would bring Netad from Bikaner to Nagaur for a court hearing. As per Joshi, Nagaur police has been keeping a database of possible rivalries and gang ties in the region.
“These murders took place in quick succession. Both sides have been trying to get back at each other to settle scores. Therefore, we decided to follow the suspects who may try to strike again,” he said.
On Monday, he said that a team of constables Prem Raj and Bhanwar Lal learned that as many as five cars were parked outside a house behind the main roadways bus stand.
The police team intercepted as many as 15 suspects in the house. Another team then rounded up the suspects and learned that one Bhagirath Gurjar had gathered the men to organise a hit on Netad.
Police said the accused had conducted a recce of all points where they could encounter police after the murder.
Police have listed the accused as Kapil Gurjar (29), Rajesh Gurjar (25), Prahlad Ram (26), Vijay Singh (23), Mahipal Juriya (21), and Ashok Kumar (26).
Police said that further investigation is underway into the case to examine the role of other suspects invovled in the case.
