Public Health: Visitors’ Entry To Be Strictly Monitored At Phed Hq | Jaipur News

Jaipur: With a series of scams and corruption cases of the Public Health and Engineering Department (PHED) surfacing in the last few months, the state government has decided to crack the whips on the officials of the department.

From, now all ‘outsiders’ entering the Jal Bhawan in Hasanpura – the state headquarters of PHED – would have to register their identity, name of the officer or officers they want to meet and the purpose of their visit. The department would now allow entry of persons and vehicles inside the headquarters through only one gate and had to fill up a register book before moving inside the main building.
“Employees can simply move inside the gate showing their passes, but all others need to fill up the register before they can move in. We had started this system from August 11 following a circular issued on August 7. But being kind of extended weekend, the system actually came into effect from Wednesday,” said a PHED official.
