While in 2020, 3,000 cusecs entered the bed, in 2020 and 2021 5,000 cusecs of water were flown into bed. This year, there are apprehensions of more water entering into the river bed,” said a senior water resources department official.
District collector Rukmani Riar inspected the affected areas on Wednesday and had asked the officials to install JC machines as soon as possible to keep the river bed clean. She has also instructed the medical department to be prepared to deal with any situation.
