Pwd: ‘finish Hosp Maintenance Work By Sept’ | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The principal secretary of public works department (PWD), Vaibhav Galriya, has directed the department’s officers to complete all the maintenance work of government hospitals by September. Galriya said in a review meeting on Sunday that PWD must strengthen basic facilities at all government-run hospitals in the state as Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot wants to provide world-class medical facilities to the state’s people. “People from every section of the society come to these hospitals for treatment. We should ensure no one faces inconvenience while seeking treatment,” added Galriya.
At the review meeting organized through video conferencing at the secretariat, maintenance work of government medical colleges and attached hospitals of Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota and Udaipur districts was discussed.
Maintenance work worth Rs 20 crore has been approved for SMS Medical College in Jaipur, Rs 23 crore for RNT Medical College in Udaipur, Rs 14 crore for the medical college in Jodhpur. Rs 16 crore was approved for Bikaner, Rs 7 crore for Kota and Rs 3 crore for Ajmer, said officials. “Work is going on in full swing at all places,” said an official. tnn
