Quality Of Life: 10k Athletes To Participate In Sfa Championships | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The SMS Stadium is geared up to witness athletes from different walks of life at the SFA Championships beginning on Saturday. The inaugural edition of the tournament has received an overwhelming number of registrations of more than 10000 athletes who will compete in more than 30 categories. With over 200 schools having confirmed their participation, the tourney aims to discover the ‘No.1 school in sports’ in the city and eventually in the country.

Vithya Ramraj led India’s charge at the Hangzhou Asian Games, equalling PT Usha’s 39-year-old record in the women’s 400m hurdles. Despite failing to win gold, Vithya contributed to India’s silver medal wins in the 4x400m mixed relay and women’s 4x400m relay. Middle distance runners played a significant role in India’s success, accounting for nearly one-third of the country’s total medals tally. Parul Chaudhary, Avinash Sable, Harmilan Bains, and the men’s 4x400m relay team were among the gold medalists. However, some technical glitches and decisions affected Indian athletes’ performances.
