Quality Of Life: Cash, Liquor Worth ₹221cr Seized In 1 Mth | Jaipur News

Jaipur: In view of the assembly general elections, 2023, various enforcement agencies in the state have seized drugs, liquor, gold, freebies, and cash amounting to Rs 51.26 crore last week. In the last one month, agencies have seized drugs, liquor, gold, freebies, and cash worth amounting to over Rs 221.2 crore.
Chief electoral officer Praveen Gupta said this information has been given in the reports issued by different agencies in the state. In the last one week, cash amounting Rs 5.62 crore, drugs worth Rs 22.57 crore, liquor worth Rs 3.47 crore and gold and silver worth Rs 4.76 crore have been seized, while freebies worth Rs 14.84 crore have been seized.

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) in Chennai has detained two individuals who were found in possession of 15kg of smuggled gold worth 10 crore. The suspects were captured following a chase and were found to be in possession of high-quality charas and hydro ganja powder. It has been discovered that this gang was supplying drugs to young individuals in the western suburbs. The ANC has registered 86 cases and seized drugs worth over Rs 38 crore this year.
Delhi Police arrests 3 Africans; drug worth over Rs 40 crore seized
Three individuals from African countries have been arrested by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police for their alleged involvement in an international drug syndicate. The police seized a significant quantity of drugs, including methaqualone and heroin, with a street value of over Rs 40 crore. The arrested individuals were found to be residing in Delhi without legal documentation. Counterfeit visas and passports were also confiscated. This is not an isolated incident, as last year, six individuals from Tanzania and Uganda were arrested on similar charges in Pune.
