Quality Of Life: Udaipur’s Central Public School Win Royals U-19 Girls Cricket Title | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Central Public School from Udaipur trounced Kota’s Maa Bharti Institute by ten wickets to win the Rajasthan Royals Inter-School U-19 Girls Cricket Cup here at the PS Sports Excellence Arena.
Opting to field, Central Public School restricted Kota’s Maa Bharti Institute to 76-4 in their 10 overs.
In reply, Udaipur’s openers Kashish and Priyanshi scored 37 runs each to reach the target in 6.3 overs and secure the title for their school in the presence of Royals’ star players Yashasvi Jaiswal and KC Cariappa, along with the franchise’s chief executive officer Jake Lush McCrum and women’s rights activist and social worker Ruma Devi.
CPS’s 16-year-old Priyanshi was the star of the competition with both bat and ball, as she was adjudged the ‘player of the tournament’ for her 92 runs and 3 wickets. She also won the award for the most sixes.
Maa Bharti Institute’s Pratiksha Singh was awarded the Pink Cap for the most runs (92) in the competition, and CPS’s Himali claimed Blue Cap for most wickets (9). Barmer’s Government Senior Secondary School, Pandravali was given ‘fair play award’ for displaying sporting values.
Earlier in the semis, CPS defeated Jaipur’s Madho Nagar Public Senior Secondary School in a thrilling Super Over to make it to the final. In the other SF, Kota’s Maa Bharti Institute got the better of Barmer’s Government Senior Secondary School by 6 runs. tnn

Govt orders probe into ragging allegation made by Plus II first year student of RD Women’s Higher Secondary School
The Rama Devi Women’s Higher Secondary School in Bhubaneswar has been asked by the school and mass education department to investigate an allegation of ragging made by a first-year student against her three hostel roommates. The student claimed that the trio created disturbance in the room and insulted her based on her caste. The department has requested an independent inquiry into the matter and the school principal has denied any intention to insult the complainant, stating that the request to comb hair outside the room was due to the complainant’s hair constantly falling.
