Quality Test: Scanner Over Drug Quality | Jaipur News

Jaipur: After a clutch of drugs manufactured by five companies failed the quality test conducted between September 16 and 30, the food safety and drugs control commissionerate (FSDCC) has asked all drug control officers in the state to test the quality of other batches and drugs manufactured by these companies.
Mentioning the drugs and manufacturers, FSDCC asked the drug control officers to ensure the stocks of these drugs are not consumed anymore and that the available stocks are withdrawn.

The Saki Naka police in Mumbai raided a drugs manufacturing unit in Nashik’s Shinde Gaon and seized 133kg of MDMA (Ecstasy) worth Rs 267 crores. The raid was carried out after the arrest of an individual who tipped off the police about the unit. The operation led to the arrest of several individuals involved in the drug trafficking network, and a total of 151kg of MDMA worth Rs 300 crore has been seized so far. It was revealed that the manufacturing unit is owned by the brother of drug mafia Lalit Patil, who escaped from a hospital after being arrested by the Pune police in 2020.
Drugs in parcels: Russian, five Indians on Ahmedabad cops’ radar
The cyber crime branch in Ahmedabad, India has found the involvement of a Russian national and five residents of Gujarat in a drug trafficking case. The investigation revealed that drug consumption increases during the festive season of Navratri and Diwali, particularly among college students and corporate professionals. The traffickers used a private courier to send cocaine and cannabis from the US, Thailand, and Canada, concealing the contraband in parcels containing toys, notepads, and books. The joint operation recovered cocaine and high-quality cannabis worth over Rs 48 lakh.
