Quota: Cong Dividing Society By False Remarks On Quota: Bjp | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore asked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to respond why, if he was so concerned about OBCs (other backward classes), his party suppressed the Kaka Kalelkar Commission report on the conditions of backward classes and did not implement recommendations of the Mandal Commission on caste-based reservations.
In response to Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge’s public speech in Jaipur on Saturday, he remarked, “Both are dividing society by making false remarks about women’s reservation, the caste system, and the OBC group. They ought to investigate the mistakes committed by their forerunners.”
Reacting to Gandhi’s demand for a caste-based census, he said, “Congress ruled the country for more than 50 years. They never conducted the caste-based survey.”
He said that Gandhi overlooked the fact that OBCs have always been part of BJP governments.
“The Modi administration, not the Congress, granted the OBC Commission its constitutional status in 2018,” Rathore said.
“The empty chairs at the time Congress national president Kharge ji was making his speech are confirming the defeat of the Congress government,” he said.
Taking a dig at Gandhi’s criticism of the Adani group, he said, “He (Gandhi) continuously blames the Adani Group in his speeches, while on the other hand the head of his Congress government (Gehlot) is repeatedly obliging the Adani group. Sometimes they buy coal, and sometimes they give them valuable land for solar power projects. Rahul Gandhi should answer: What is this relationship of Ashok Gehlot ji with Adani group?”
