Rabies: Rss Worker Surprise Choice In Baran–atru |

Kota: The BJP on Sunday accounted for all the 17 assembly seats in Hadouti region with declaration of 3 more candidates, comprising a change of face in Baran–Atru from Sarika Singh to Radheyshyam Bairwa, a fresh face, Premchand Gochar, in Pipalda and the party’s old firebrand leader Prahlad Gunjal in Kota-North.
Meanwhile, speculations continued over Congress nominating Shanti Dhariwal for Kota seat, even as the minister arrived from Delhi to Kota for filing his nomination on Monday.
The replacement of Sarika Singh with Bairwa in Atru–Baran, an SC–reserved assembly seat, came as a shock for party workers as Bairwa, who runs a tailor shop in Baran city, has not been a prominent face in active local politics, although he is well known as an RSS worker.
BJP did field former MLA Prahlad Gunjal from Kota-North for the third time. He had already filed his nomination on Saturday after holding meetings with local MP and Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla in two slots on Thursday night and Friday morning.
The election ticket came as a birthday gift for Premchand Gochar, who celebrated his 53rd birthday on November 5.
