Rahul Gandhi: Kharge, Rahul Expected To Attend Party Meet On Sept 23 |

Jaipur: PCC chief Govind Singh Dotasra on Monday inspected the site in Jaipur where the party will hold an office bearers’ meeting on September 23. He said Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and former president Rahul Gandhi are expected to attend the meeting in which identity cards of all office bearers— from the booth till PCC-level— will be distributed.
Both will also lay the foundation for the new party office in Mansarovar on the same day. After the foundation stone laying programme, a joint conference of booth president, block president, division president, city president, district president and state officials of Rajasthan PCC will also be organised where the party office bearers will be given identity cards.
General secretary and spokesperson of PCC, Swarnim Chaturvedi said that as per Dotasra’s instructions, the officials of the organisation including district, block, division and booth presidents and executive officials must participate in the conference.
The list of booth presidents will have to be sent to the state Congress committee by September 20.

BJD removes Soumya from party vice-president’s post
Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, a BJD MLA, has been removed from his position as the party’s vice-president following his criticism of a bureaucrat. The removal order, signed by party president Naveen Patnaik, did not provide a reason for the decision. Soumya expressed doubt about the authenticity of Naveen’s signature on the order, citing his request for a meeting with the chief minister being met with a removal order instead. Soumya had recently written opinion pieces questioning the bureaucrat’s functioning and defended his position against criticism from BJD leaders.
