Jaipur: The Assembly on Friday passed the Rajasthan Cinema (Regulation) (Amendment) Bill – 2023 and revised the penalties for contravention of the original Act enacted in 1952. The Bill was passed by a voice vote. Parliamentary affairs minister Shanti Dhariwal while presenting the Bill in the Assembly said that in the present context, the penalties are very meagre under this Act.
