Rajasthan: Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot stage a joint attack on BJP over farmer killings in UP | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and his former deputy Sachin Pilot attacked the Centre and Uttar Pradesh’s BJP government for the killing of farmers at Lakhimpur Kheri. The two were addressing elections rallies in Udaipur’s Vallabhnagar and Pratapgarh’s Dhariawad on Friday.
Gehlot said crushing peacefully protesting farmers under car wheels was unprecedented in the country. Pilot said those who killed farmers were roaming freely while Congress leaders who tried to console bereaved families were arrested.

Despite the ongoing war of words between them, Gehlot and Pilot flew together in a chopper to address the two bypoll rallies. At Vallabhnagar, Pilot even drove the car from the helipad to the rally venue with Gehlot seated in the front beside him. AICC general secretary Ajay Maken and PCC chief Govind Singh Dotasra accompanied the duo.
“Have you ever witnessed such a sight when farmers, walking peacefully, are crushed by a car coming from behind? People got thrown on both sides of the road. Can you imagine how they must have been killed?” Gehlot asked.
