Rajasthan: Asind town shut over gangrape, 1 arrested | Jaipur News

AJMER: Asind town of Bhilwara district remained closed on Wednesday in protest against the rape of a college girl. Heavy police forces have been deployed in the town and the situation is under control as per the district administration.
On Tuesday three youths kidnapped a girl, returning from her college, to a guest house and raped her. Different organizations staged protests outside the police station and gave a memorandum to the district administration to act strictly against the accused.
After the news about the heinous act broke out in the town, there was massive anger against all the three accused who were from different communities. Additional SP Chanchal Mishra reached the spot and assured residents to arrest all accused soon.
On Wednesday, police arrested one of the accused Aziz Mohammad, a resident of Khatola village of Asind while the other two other accused, Abdul Mohammad and guest house owner, are absconding. Asind police have constituted teams to arrest the other two accused.
The victim in her report said that when she was returning from her college to her village Khatola, Aziz Mohammad and his brother Abdul Mohammad offered a lift in their car and they took her to the guest house where they raped her. tnn
