Pratapgarh: Cm Approves Proposal To Set Up 3 New Med Colleges | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot has approved the proposal to establish new medical colleges in Pratapgarh, Jalore and Rajsamand on Sunday.
New medical colleges will be established under RajMES (Rajasthan Medical Education Society) in Pratapgarh, Jalore and Rajsamand. Each medical college will be constructed at a cost of Rs 250 crore. In addition, Rs 75 crore will be spent for necessary equipment, furniture and books in these colleges. The decision will strengthen the health infrastructure in the state. In the 2023-24 state budget speech, Gehlot had announced medical colleges in Pratapgarh, Jalore and Rajsamand.
In 30 districts of the state, medical colleges have already been announced or they are already functioning. In the rest of the three districts, medical colleges have now been announced, which will ensure that all 33 existing districts will have a medical college.
Gehlot also approved the proposal for creation of 20 new posts in Mathuradas Mathur Hospital, Jodhpur. As per the proposal, Mathuradas Mathur Hospital has 3 assistant professors of cardiology, 2 senior residents, 4 junior residents, 1 senior nursing officer and 4 nursing officers. A total of 20 posts will be created including 2 posts of technicians.
