Doc: Doc Who Had Suffered Brain Stroke On Feb 2 Passes Away In Jaipur | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Medical fraternity suffered a loss on Saturday as senior professor of paediatrics Dr R K Gupta, who had suffered a stroke on February 2, passed away. He was the medical superintendent at J K Lon Hospital when he had suffered a brain stroke. He remained admitted in the ICU since he suffered the stroke.
A SMS hospital official said that they had removed the thrombus that blocked the supply of blood to a part of the brain by conducting a surgery on the same day he was brought to the hospital, but he did not recover.
Over the past few months, incidents of strokes and heart attacks among doctors have been reported.
At least five doctors have suffered heart attacks or strokes. Dr Saurabh Mathur, an orthopaedic doctor at a private hospital, died recently, after he allegedly suffered a heart attack. Dr Rajaram Agarwal, a neurologist at a private hospital in the city had passed away a few months ago due to heart attack. Dr Arun Garg, in his 50s had suffered a heart attack and died while playing a cricket match organised at SMS medical college grounds during the platinum jubilee celebration of SMS medical college on February 16.
