JAISALMER: On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, woman BSF jawans tied rakhis on the wrists of their male counterparts and offered sweets.
BSF Rajasthan Frontier made special arrangements for these jawans sitting hundreds of kilometres away from their homes and families.
On the directions of BSF IG David Laransinga, Raksha Bandhan was celebrated at all the border outposts in both the sectors. BSF official sources said at the Indo-Pak border, woman jawans tied rakhi to their male counterparts and celebrated the festival in a traditional manner.
Seemajan Kalyan Samiti too sent many teams of its women workers to tie rakhi to jawans.
A woman personnel tied rakhi to 92nd BSF commandant Sanjay Chauhan by applying tilak. He said women and men jawans at the border outpost are a family and all festivals are celebrated in a traditional manner.
