JAIPUR: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Jaipur on Wednesday to hold a closed-door meeting with RSS leaders and senior state BJP functionaries. He is visiting to take stock of PM Narendra Modi’s proposed public address at Vatika in Jaipur on September 25.
“Shah is concerned for PM Modi’s public address to mark the conclusion of the 18th day-long Parivartan Sankalp Yatra (PSY). It is coinciding with the birth anniversary of BJP ideologue Deen Dayal Upadhyaya. The central leaders are planning a major rally to have an impact across the state. Shah wanted to be assured that rally would draw crowds from across the state,” said a source.
The state unit had officially not announced the visit till the last report came. TOI called state president CP Joshi for his comment on the visit but received no response.

Eye on Mithila region, Amit Shah set to address rally in Jhanjharpur today
The state BJP leaders in Bihar are making efforts to ensure the success of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s rally in Madhubani’s Jhanjharpur. They have urged people to attend in large numbers. The choice of Jhanjharpur is significant as three out of the five Lok Sabha seats in the Mithila region are currently held by the opposition Grand Alliance. The Chief Vigilance Officer of NHAI, along with other officials, visited Jaipur to raise awareness about the government’s Vigilance Campaign -2023. The Gujarat Vigilance Commission received the highest number of complaints in 2022, while a resident in Patiala reported illegal expansion of a hospital. A workshop on preventive vigilance was organized in Vizag, and two government officials in Punjab were arrested for corruption. ASI Rakesh Kumar was caught accepting a bribe, and CDPO supervisor Harmel Kaur was found to have taken a bribe for job recruitment.
