Rajasthan Forest Department: 132 Forest Officers Promoted |

Jaipur : The Rajasthan Forest Department announced on Sunday the promotion of 132 Regional Forest Officers to the position of Assistant Conservator of Forest. These positions had been vacant for years. Following a recent decision by the departmental promotional committee (DPC), official orders were issued.
An official said, “The promotions of these frontline workers had been pending since 2013. The department conducted a review during the DPC meeting held on September 13 and proceeded with the promotions.” Sources suggest that this decision was made keeping in view the election year.

The Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) has promoted 20 officers from ten government departments. The probation period was also lifted for officials in several departments. The promotion committees are led by GPSC chairman Jose Manual Noronha and attended by the chief secretary and administrative secretary.
Mela to promote millets held
The food safety department organized a yoga session and bikeathon at The American College in Madurai to promote millets among students. The students participated by taking out a bike procession and setting up stalls with healthy dishes made from millets. The principal emphasized the importance of following healthy food habits from ancient times. The event was attended by Madurai north MLA G Thalapathi, Collector M S Sangeetha, and corporation commissioner K J Praveen Kumar.
