Rajasthan Police: Police Raids in Rajasthan to Crack Down on Lawrence Bishnoi Gang | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The Rajasthan police conducted massive raids on Monday to crack down on the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and its associatesoperating in the state. Bikaner SP Tejaswani Gautam said that beginning at 5am, 190 police teams conducted raids at 460 locations, including the residence of gangster Rohit Godara. In the operation, 125 persons were arrested, including 15 who had arrest warrants against them.
Gautam said, “All the arrested persons were directly or indirectly associated with the gang in the past. Raids were also conducted on the residences of Rohit Godara and other hardcore criminals associated with him.”
A team from Lunkaransar police station reached Rohit Godara’s village, Kapoorisar, and conducted a search. However, Godara has not been living at his village house for many years and nothing incriminating was found, police sources said.
In Ganganagar district, 159 wanted criminals and anti-social elements were arrested. The operation involved raids at more than 219 places by 55 teams comprising 290 police officers and personnel, SP Vikas Sharma said. He said that the police teams assembled at 4am in the morning and after briefings from senior police officers, commenced action in their respective areas.
Sharma said that five hardcore criminals and history-sheeters were arrested, along with two drug smugglers from whose possession 1.5 kg of opium was recovered.

Delhi Police constable stabbed during raid in Wazirpur
During an apprehension attempt in Adarsh Nagar, Delhi, a man accused of robbery, Ajay, stabbed a Delhi Police constable, Bhupender, with a knife. Ajay and his friend Akash tried to flee upon seeing the police, but Akash was caught. Bhupender is hospitalized at Fortis Hospital in Shalimar Bagh and is stable. Ajay is wanted in seven cases related to the Arms Act and robbery in the Adarsh Nagar area.

Posing as I-T officials, a gang raided the home of an imitation jewellery businessman in Mumbai and seized Rs 18 lakh saved for a wedding. The suspects were arrested with the help of CCTV footage. Rajkumar Gujjar, a friend of the victim’s grandson, provided information about the family’s cash savings to one of the gang members, Abhay Kasle. The gang prepared a fake panchnama during the raid and even changed the number plates of their car. The police recovered a fake identity card and photographs of the accused wearing police uniforms. The businessman’s daughter filed a complaint, leading to the arrest of eight individuals involved in the fake raid.
