Jaipur: The auction of the inaugural edition of the Rajasthan Premier League (RPL) saw all-rounders attracting big deals in a bidding war between six franchises that lasted for more than seven hours here on Thursday. It was all-rounder Deepak Hooda who landed the highest bidding amount as Kota splurged 15,50000 to have his services. Another all-rounder, Mahipal Lomror bagged the second-highest bid of 15,00000 by Sikar.
Injury prone seamer Deepak Chahar was taken by Bhilwara at 5,75,000 while his cousin brother, leg-spinner Rahul Chahar was picked by Jodhpur at 7,00,000. Surprisingly, the Jaipur franchise splurged 14,00000 for lesser known batting all-rounder Shubham Garhwal. Other marquee players like Aniket Choudhary, Khaleel Ahmed, Kamlesh Nagarkoti have been picked by Sikar at 6,25000, Udaipur at 5,25000 and Jaipur at 5,00,000 respectively. These players were a part of Group ‘A’ which involved those who have represented India and have played in the IPL. tnn
