Rajasthan topper Prachi Bhadauria wants to work on climate change | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Prachi Bhadauria of Rukmani Birla Modern High School secured 99.98% to emerge as state topper in class X CBSE results. She scored centum in English, Science, Maths, Social Science and missed the cent per cent score by just one mark in Sanskrit.
“I was not expecting beyond 95%. It’s a surprise that I took a while to believe. I am happy that my hard work has yielded success,” said an elated Bhadauria over the phone. A resident of Model Town in Malviya Nagar, she is passionate about taking up campaigns creating awareness on climate change.
She feels that this is the biggest challenge mother earth is facing. “It’s time to act. Soon, I would like to roll out a visual art campaign highlighting the disaster which is approaching due to the collective carelessness of the world,” said the topper, who is inspired by all climate change activists, including Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg.
She is eyeing a B Tech from IIT Bombay in Computer Science. “I would like to go for master’s in environment protection from a country which is leading the world in the fight against climate change. The larger aim is to influence the policymakers in the country and around the globe towards bringing policies balancing development and environment,” said Bhadauria, whose ultimate aim is to become a climate change activist.
