Raje In Delhi: Raje In Delhi, Likely To Meet Nadda Today | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Former chief minister Vasundhara Raje landed in Delhi late in the evening on Wednesday, four days after the verdict was announced, giving the BJP an absolute majority in the assembly election.
The move has raised speculations about her being the face of the CM of Rajasthan. She is likely to meet the party leaders, including national president JP Nadda, on Thursday.
“She was called by party leaders in Delhi to discuss the CM face and the formation of the government. She is the most experienced frontrunner for the top post,” said a close aide to Raje.
Raje’s camp had been expecting a call for her from Delhi since the counting of votes on Sunday. The series of events unfolding in the past four days in Delhi has kept the Raje camp on its toes.
“The meeting of Nadda with state president CP Joshi and in-charge Arun Singh in Delhi on December 4 signalled that the government formation process has started. Even the meeting of Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat with senior party leaders in the Parliament was a left-out moment for Raje,” said a source.
Back in Jaipur, a close aide of Raje claimed that around 60 MLAs visited her in the past three days to thank her for the support she extended them during the polls. Many of the MLAs did express their willingness to see her as the next CM of the state before the camera kept the debate on the CM going.
