Rajeevika, Ngo To Work Together | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Rajasthan Grameen Ajeevika Vikas Parishad (Rajeevika) and Sightsavers India, an NGO, on Thursday signed an MOU to ensure socioeconomic development of people with disabilities (PwDs) in Dungarpur and Pratapgarh districts.
The partnership aims at strengthening Rajeevika’s capacity for implementation of economic empowerment measures for PwDs, said Manju Rajpal, the secretary of rural development department, who is also the state mission director of Rajeevika. She and Sightsavers India CEO RN Mohanty were the signatories of the MoU.
“Sightsavers India will be supporting Rajeevika’s initiatives in Dungarpur and Pratapgarh on livelihood promotion and employability of PwDs by linking them to the government’s economic empowerment schemes,” said an official statement. The partnership will initially focus on two blocks, one each of Pratapgarh and Dungarpur districts, said officials.
