Rajendra Rathore: Won’t Allow House To Function Till Mla’s Suspension Revoked: Rathore | Jaipur News
The Assembly was deferred till August 2 on July 24 following an uproar due to controversy over the ‘red diary’ involving sacked minister Rajendra Singh Gudha.
“How can we allow the Assembly to function after one of our MLAs has been suspended for the entire term of the 15th Vidhan Sabha? He was discharging his duty in the assembly by demanding a discussion on the ‘red diary’,” said Rathore.
He termed the government’s move as inspired by the Taliban, in disregard of democratic principles and values. “Even the suspension of their own leader Gudha is unfair,” said Rathore.
Rathore demanded a statement on the “red diary” by the government in the assembly. “The red diary has to be discussed in the assembly, otherwise we will take the matter to every household in the state,” said Rathore.
Calling the government to task for convening the assembly session only to pass half-baked bills, he said, “Amid the commotion, they passed four bills on July 24, and now they are planning to pass five bills on Wednesday without discussion.”
