Acb Catches Three Assistant Accountants With Over ₹7.7l In Jaisalmer | Jaipur News

Jaisalmer: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught three assistant accountants who were returning after auditing the Mohangarh Panchayat samiti with Rs 7,74,500 cash. The auditors could not give any satisfactory reply in regard to the cash.
The ACB after registering a report sent the case to the headquarters. These auditors were auditing for more than a month at Mohangarh panchayat samiti and possibly were going to Jodhpur after illegal collection. However, after an initial probe, the trio were released but seized the money.
ACB Jodphur IG Sawai Singh Godara said that on the directions of ACB headquarters, the Jaisalmer unit, following an input checked an Alto car in which accused Gangaram, Kailash Chand and Mahendra Jat, all assistant accountants, were going to Jodhpur from Jaisalmer with the cash amount.
He said that the three member audit team from Mohangarh Panchayat Samiti Jaisalmer after auditing different gram panchayats made illegal collection in the name of audit report.
ACP Jaisalmer unit deputy SP Anil Sharma and his team did a blockading near Chandan police check post to carry out the operation. tnn
