Jaipur: JMC-Greater mayor Somya Gurjar on Thursday tied rakhis to Muslim women, sanitation workers, councillors, officers and employees of various committees of the municipal corporation. She also took a pledge to ensure cleanliness in the city.
The mayor began her outreach by tying a rakhi to a tree and thereafter taking a pledge to protect trees. “With the tying of rakhis today, we have pledged to keep Jaipur city clean and beautiful and ensure that it gets the best rank in the swachh sarvekshan survey,” she said. TNN
