Pcc Chief Dotasra & Sikar Mla Clash Over Waterlogging Issues At District-level Meet | Jaipur News
Jaipur: PCC president and Laxmangarh MLA Govind Singh Dotasra and Sikar MLA Rajendra Pareek (former minister) got into a heated argument at a meeting convened by minister in-charge Shakuntla Rawat on Monday at Sikar collectorate. While Dotasra alleged the municipal officials of not doing their work properly for water logging at Nawalgarh bridge during the unseasonal rains recently, Pareek came to their rescue, resulting in a heated argument between the two in the meeting.
Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat used the incident to take a dig at the Congress government by tweeting with the video saying, “See how peacefully and civilised the dialogue is being established between Rajasthan Congress president and senior Congress MLA in Sikar.
This is how Congress not only deals with its own issues but also of the government. A similar system has been made in the state as well.”
Dotasra accused Pareek of taking the side of the officers. The heated exchange between two continued for about 10 minutes and from the collector to the in-charge minister Shakuntala Rawat watched in silence. Both the leaders kept shouting at each other to stay within their limits. The situation got so charged up at one point that Rajendra Pareek even told Dotasra to take care of his Laxmangarh constituency.
Pareek told minister Rawat not to call meetings attended by people like Dotasra but he will personally meet her. Dotasra replied that he is sitting in the meeting in the capacity of MLA and not at his mercy. However, Rawat tried to pacify both the MLAs.
Minister-in-charge Shakuntala Rawat was taking a meeting on the budget announcements at Sikar collectorate auditorium at around 11.30 am on Monday.
Laxmangarh MLA Dotasra sought an explanation from the officials regarding the Nawalgarh road drainage and Nawalgarh road culvert four-lane project alleging the officials were not doing their job on which Pareek came to their rescue.
Dotasra said his residence is on Nawalgarh Road in Sikar and water logging is causing trouble. Pareek said that the chairman and he personally monitor the ongoing development works in the city till 12-12 at night. On this, Dotasra asked Pareek to stay within his limits.
