Jaisalmer: A policeman drowned while taking a bath in the sacred Ramsarovar pond of Jaisalmer’s religious site Ramdevra on Tuesday morning. The policeman was posted as a cook at the Police Training Center in Jodhpur. According to the Ramdevra police, Gajendra Kumar, a resident of Sirohi, had come to visit Baba Ramdev’s samadhi along with a tenant living in his house in Jodhpur. While taking a bath in the Ramsarovar pond, he slipped into deep water. Locals and security personnel tried to save him but he had died by the time the body was pulled out. tnn
