Ramgarh Dam: 323 Hectares Reclaimed In Ramgarh Dam Region: Min | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Water resources minister Mahendrajit Singh Malviya informed the assembly on Thursday that 323.30 hectares of land of Ramgarh dam were reclaimed by removing encroachment by 640 persons.
He said, out of 338 cases of revenue cases of land allotment in the downstream area/catchment area of Ramgarh dam, 336 have been settled and only two cases are pending in the court.
He claimed that at present there is no encroachment in the downstream area of Ramgarh dam and no threat to the existence of the dam.
The height of the check dams constructed in the catchment areas has been reduced to two metre.
Malviya, in response to a question, said that encroachments have been removed from time to time for the conservation of the dam in the past years and eviction action has been taken.
The minister said in a written reply to Pukhraj that at present there is no encroachment in the downstream area of Ramgarh dam, and the existence of the dam is not in danger due to the lack of concrete constructions.
Malviya told that several orders have been issued by tRajasthan High Court in petition number 11153/2011 related to the conservation of Ramgarh Dam.
He also placed on the table of the House the details of the main action taken in compliance with the decisions of Rajasthan High Court.
