Ranpur: 2 Labourers Die While Cleaning Water Filter Discharge Tank In Kota | Jaipur News
Kota: Two labourers died and three others fainted while cleaning a water filter tank in an edible oil factory in Ranpur police station area on Monday.
Police have lodged a case of death by negligence against entire management of the factory. The bodies were handed over to respective their family members after post-mortem on Tuesday.
Kin of the two deceased laborers held a demonstration outside the mortuary of MBS Hospital and demanded compensation.
Congress leader Naimuddin Guddu also reached the mortuary and joined the aggrieved kin. However, the kin agreed to take the bodies after the factory management assured compensation.
The deceased laborers were identified as Lokesh (28) and Ramratan (30), both residents of Ranpur police station area. The incident occurred when five labourers had climbed down in a tank where dirty water from a water treatment plant of the factory was discharged, circle inspector Balvir Singh said. While the labourers were cleaning the tank, two of them collapsed while three others fainted, he added.
The exact reason was yet to be ascertained.
