Ranpur Industrial Area In Kota Gets New Thana | Jaipur News
Kota: Urban development and housing minister Shanti Dhariwal on Monday inaugurated the newly developed Ranpur police station in the Ranpur police check post building at Devnarayan Integrated Housing Scheme in Kota city.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhariwal said that the state government gave a gift to industrialists and entrepreneurs of the city by setting up a new police station in Ranpur industrial area, which would address their security and safety concerns.
“The new police station in the city would help the city police maintain the law and order situation better and control crime. However, incidents of stabbing have come down in the city due to alertness of police in recent times,” said Dhariwal.
On the newly developed Devnarayan Integrated Housing Scheme for cattle-rearers (pashupalak), the minister said it is the first of its kind integrated housing scheme in the country, furnished with all modern facilities. “Ever since its successful launch, people from across the country are coming here to study it. The developmental work and construction of 1,227 houses under the scheme, worth Rs 300 crore, were completed in two years, which is a record,” he added.
The newly developed Ranpur police station would benefit a population of around 53,000 people in the area, said Kota city SP Kesar Singh, who was present on the occasion along with divisional commissioner Deepak Nandi and IG Prasanna Kumar Khamesra.
