Ras Candidates To Face Traffic Ordeal Before Interview Today | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The RAS-2021 interview process is scheduled to start on Monday, but the candidates face the additional challenge of reaching Ajmer from Jaipur on time.
SP Jaipur (Rural) Rajeev Pachar has advised the candidates that ongoing construction projects on the Ajmer-Jaipur highway have caused traffic congestion, potentially affecting their travel plans. He said that the police have advised students to plan accordingly.
DCP (Jaipur-Traffic) Prahald Singh Krishniya also issued an advisory to all candidates. Krishniya mentioned that the ongoing construction projects in Bhankrota, Nar Singh Pura, and Kamla Nehru Nagar may result in increased traffic congestion.
The Jaipur traffic police have reported instances of waterlogging in various areas of the city due to continuous rainfall, which could further extend travel time for candidates.
The police have advised candidates travelling from Tonk and Agar to take the Ring Road route to reach Ajmer. On the other hand, those travelling from Delhi and Sikar roads can use the Delhi-Ajmer Express highway for their journey.
According to an official, there are several areas where heavy rainfall has caused significant potholes on the roads. These potholes can contribute to traffic congestion as vehicles are expected to move at slower speeds.
“Students should make an effort to reach Ajmer on time because the condition of the Ajmer-Jaipur highway is currently very poor. Rains could further increase these problems,” the official said.
Both Jaipur (Rural) and the city traffic police have increased their monitoring of the highway before the interviews start.
The RAS interviews are scheduled to commence on Monday and will be held until July 25. Officials have stated that candidates from various parts of the state are likely to start their journey from Jaipur to Ajmer for the interviews.
