Raj Only State Taking Action Against Paper Leak Mafia: Cm | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Slamming the BJP for repeatedly raking up the issue of exam paper leaks to mislead people, chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday said Rajasthan was the only state that took strict action against the mafia.
The strongest action so far by the Gehlot govt against the leak accused has been the demolition of a five-storey building that housed a coaching institute linked to the kingpins as well as razing the house of one them here besides termination of services of four government employees. Gehlot was talking to the media on the concluding day of the two-day ‘Chintan Shivir’ on his government’s achievements in the last four years.
“The Opposition is repeatedly holding press conferences and levelling false allegations against the leaders and officials. They don’t see what is happening in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh etc. We have given jobs to 3.5 lakh people including 1.35 lakh that have already been given and another 1.25 lakh are in the interview stage. Exam for 1 lakh more jobs will be held soon. They are doing it all to deflect people’s attention from the development work of the Congress government,” said Gehlot while talking to media at the concluding day of the two-day Chintan Shivir being held at Rajasthan Institute of Public Administration (RIPA) here.
Reacting to Congress leader Sachin Pilot’s statement that government should arrest the kingpin of paper leaks instead of paper touts, Gehlot said, “Those arrested are kingpins only. If the leaders (Pilot and others) give the names of those involved in it, we will take the action.”
Informing the media on the action taken by the government on the paper leak mafia, Gehlot said, “We have dismissed several officers and bulldozed the establishments of several others involved in the paper leak cases. Also, we have passed a law — Rajasthan Public Examination (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Bill, 2022 — and the candidates involved in it have been debarred to appear in any exam in the future. The accused have been sent to jail and facing investigations. Such stringent measures were never taken anywhere in the country by any government. What else can the government do?” Giving a clean chit to the leaders and officers, Gehlot said, “The Opposition out of frustration is taking the names of leaders and officials when none of them is involved.”
