Tonk Dist: Tonk Dist Collector Lobbied For Son’s Ticket: Complaint | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The chief electoral officer (CEO) has sought a report from the department of personnel (DOP) on a complaint alleging violation of model code of conduct (MCC) by Tonk district collector Om Prakash Bairwa.
The DOP has directed divisional commissioners of Ajmer and Jaipur to send a report after inquiring into the matter.
The complaint has alleged that Bairwa’s son Mayank Biarwa was demanding tickets from political parties to contest the election from Chaksu assembly constituency, and that the collector was lobbying for a ticket for his son.
Ajmer divisional commissioner Chauthi Ram Meena said, “I have received a letter from DOP to send a report on the issue. It was alleged in the complaint that the collector hosted meetings and dinners at the circuit house and at his official residence. However, it is not an issue anymore as no political party has fielded his son.”
