Rio Kapadia who was seen in movies like ‘Chak De! India‘, ‘Happy New Year’ and ‘Dil Chahta Hai‘ passed away on Thursday, September 14. The actor’s friend Faisal Malik confirmed the news and said that he passed away at 12 30 pm today after his long battle with Cancer. He was 66 and was last seen in ‘Made In Heaven 2’. As soon as this news came out, netizens started commenting on his old posts with ‘Rest In Peace‘ messages.
The actor’s last post was from Paris. He was on a family tripin April and returned to India in May. One could see him really happy enjoying the vacation with his loved ones. His last post read, “Back again to the final leg of the European trip! Back to Paris. Had to see Paris in the eve from the Eiffel tower and have some last dinners in the beautiful city.”

During this trip, he also visited Switzerland and posed alongside Yash Chopra’s statue. He expressed, “Switzerland! Unbelievable beauty! Zurich, Mt. Titlis, Interlaken, Lucerne, Jungfraujoch (top of Europe) and the pride of standing next to Yash Chopraji’s statue (a salute to him). I hv been there thrice but can go again n again n experience a new high!”

Some months back, Rio had dropped a series of photos which featured Arjun Rampal, Nana Patekar, Mrunal Thakur among others. He had expressed that he’s looking forward to his upcoming projects.

Rio was also seen in popular television shows like ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’.
