Roadways Employees Gherao Office Over Pending Salaries | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Members of the state roadways federation on Tuesday took out a protest march and gheraoed the office of Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) here to demand payment of salaries pending for the past two months and of pensions pending for the past three months.
Satyanarayan Sharma, general secretary of the federation, said, “Pension and salaries of employees have been due for months but the corporation management is running away from its responsibility of paying employees on time. No talks have been held with the employees’ delegations. Without talks, how can a solution be reached? Instead of talking, officials are sneaking out of office through the back door.”
Sharma alleged that the corporation claims to have no money to pay salaries to employees but it has the money to pay contractual workers and third parties from whom buses are hired. Sharma also said that drivers, cleaners and other employees of the roadways are retiring without promotions as the management is least bothered about them.
