Rob: Jda Razes 11 Structures For Jhotwara Rob | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The enforcement department of Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) on Tuesday demolished 11 structures to make way for the construction of Jhotwara railway overbridge (ROB). Officials said, with this exercise, there are no more hurdles in the construction of the ROB.
“With this drive on Tuesday, we have got rid of almost all the hurdles. We would soon start the process of completing the remaining portion of the construction job,” said Ajoy Singh Rathore, the executive engineer looking after this project.
Former chief minister Vasundhara Raje laid the foundation stone for this project in July 2018. As soon as the construction work for the project began, problems started as landowners were unwilling to hand over their land that had to be acquired to complete the project.
Early this year, the government managed to acquire land of all the 604 structures that were creating hindrance in the project.
“We would try to complete this project by September. At present the total project cost has been escalated to be around Rs 167 crore,” said another engineer.
