JAIPUR: Hundreds of unemployed youths gathered under the banner of Rajasthan Berojgar Ekikrit Mahasangh (RBEM) gheraoed Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) headquarters in Jaipur on Monday. They demanded the release of the results of recruitment exams for the posts of physical training instructors (PTIs), laboratory assistants, librarians, firemen and others.
The RBEM members also demanded the arrest of the masterminds of paper leaks and said a law should be passed in the ongoing Assembly session with a provision of life imprisonment for those found guilty in paper leak cases.
An RBEM delegation met RSSB chairman Hari Prasad Sharma and handed him a memorandum listing a series of demands. “The chairman assured us of releasing the results of the recruitment examinations this month and in March,” said RBEM president Upen Yadav.
RBEM has also been demanding a CBI probe into question paper leak cases in the state, imposition of National Security Act (NSA) during state-level recruitment examinations, and enactment of a strict law to ensure life imprisonment for masterminds of paper leaks. Other demands of RBEM include priority to local youths in recruitments, formation of a commission for unemployed youth, recruitment for all vacant posts, and a strict law to prevent arbitrariness by coaching institutes in the state.
