Safai Workers Of Civic Bodies Stage Stir For Arrears And Benefits | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Safai workers of both Jaipur Municipal Corporation Greater and Heritage took out a rally and protested for almost three hours outside UDH minister Shanti Dhariwal’s house on Wednesday.
The safai workers said that they took out the ‘Aakrosh Rally’ after repeated requests to officials regarding their demands to clear arrears and get benefits of Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS) were not fulfilled. “We took out a rally from the Central Park till Shanti Dhariwal’s house and protested outside his house for almost three hours. The authorities have been ignoring our demands despite repeated requests. The commissioners of both the corporations did speak to us today and assured us to resolve our problems at the earliest, but if they do not take any step, we will protest again,” said Rakesh Meena, leader of the safai workers union.
Officials said that the workers will be given their dues at the earliest. Ashish Kumar, additional commissioner of JMC-Heritage said, “We have learnt about the protest and asked the finance department to check the matter.”
