‘Sam Bahadur’ box office collection: Vicky Kaushal starrer records a BIG jump; scores Rs 71 crore | Hindi Movie News
Vicky Kaushal is standing strong in the face of competition! His movie ‘Sam Bahadur’ continues to stay afloat at the box office, despite the mammoth success of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’.
On its third Saturday, ‘Sam Bahadur’ recorded a huge growth in numbers, pocketing Rs 4.50 crore. Positive word of mouth publicity seems to have helped this movie. After a dip on Thursday, the film has witnessed an upward trend on Friday and Saturday.At the end of 16 days, ‘Sam Bahadur’ has managed to score a total of Rs 71.35 crore, reports Sacnilk. The film will have a decent run at the box office till December 22, when two biggies – Dunki and Salaar will arrive at the box office.
Sharing about his experience of shooting ‘Sam Bahadur’, Vicky had said, “What happens to me after the process of filming is that the body language rubbing off takes time the way he sat, became my normal way of sitting, the way he stood up became my normal posture and that took time to come off because I was doing that for seven months…and literally shooting for 12 hours becoming that man… You just go home to sleep…. That takes time to go off. But apart from that I felt for the first time that in my personal life I would get into a situation and I would like ‘what would Sam sir do’. I feel blessed to try and live his life and understand his way to look at life because I can think like that.”
‘Sam Bahadur’ is a biographical war drama based on the life of India’s first field marshal, Sam Manekshaw. Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, this film also stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
