– Sanatan Dharma: Cong Turning Country Into Islamic Republic: Shekhawat | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has accused Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi and chief minister Ashok Gehlot of turning India into an Islamic republic or a Christian nation in response to their silence on Udaynidhi Stalin’s “Sanatan Dharma” remark.
Speaking at the BJP’s Parivartan Sankalp Yatra in Pali on Tuesday, Shekhawat referred to Congress lawmakers as “hinjras” (transgenders) for laughing at the remark made by UDH minister Shanti Dhariwal in the assembly last year that “Rajasthan mardo ka pradesh hai (Rajasthan is a land of men),” thereby justifying rapes. Congress MLAs seated behind him were clapping as “hinjras”, he said.
Last week in Barmer, Shekhawat’s statement that those who speak against Sanatan Dharma would have their tongues pulled out and their eyes gouged out went viral on social media.
“The Congress party which is standing with a party (DMK, of which Stalin is a leader) as a part of ‘Ghamandiya alliance’ (referring to the INDIA bloc formed by opposition parties) wanted to eradicate Sanatan from Bharat. The country has 140 crore people and 110 crore people believe in Sanatan Sanskriti. Those who want to change Sanatan…I want to ask Kharge ji, Rahul Gandhi and Ashok Gehlot if you want to wipe off Sanatan, you will certainly be making something. Will you be doing Islamisation of the country or turning it into a Christian country? They (Congress leaders) must give clarification, else they have to apologise,” said the minister.
He further said, “For the past 2,000 years, Rajasthan has been at the forefront of thwarting attempts to eradicate Sanatan Dharma. In November’s elections, Rajasthan will once again respond to them first. Bappa Rawal, Prithviraj Chauhan, Maharana Pratap, Durgadas, and other members of our ancestry had responded with an iron fist.”
Taking on UDH minister Shanti Dhariwal, he said, “A powerful minister who went to great lengths to rebel against the Congress high command said in the assembly that ‘Rajasthan mardo ka pradesh hai’.”
