Jaipur: Schools, colleges will remain open on Friday. Sandeep Bakshi of Progressive Schools Association said, “We have given parents an option to come and pick up their child from the school at a time convenient to them to avoid students getting stuck in traffic congestion.”

The artists are now planning to extend their community outreach to the kids ward in a Cancer hospital.

From next year, students to learn about Kaavi art in school
The new history textbook for Class IX in Goa will introduce students to Kaavi art, the state’s only traditional native painting technique. This is the first time that Kaavi art will be included in the state syllabus. Students will have an opportunity to learn and practice Kaavi art as part of internal projects. Kaavi art involves the use of red, iron-rich soil and lime to decorate walls and ceilings with stencils. The technique is mainly seen in places of worship but is not limited to them.
