Search Engine Optimization: ‘people Want Change, Ls Polls Will Be Decisive’ |

Jaipur: Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Wednesday claimed that people in the country now want a change and it has already started in certain states.
Congress will win in all five poll-bound states and the general election next year will be a decisive one, he said while talking to media in Tonk, his Assembly constituency.
Pilot said the Congress would win with more seats than ever in the upcoming Assembly polls. “The reason being the BJP has failed as an Opposition as it was in deep slumber and never tried to become the voice of the people in the last four and half years. The yatras during the election could not strike a chord with the people as they do not speak about the public interest.”
On BJP appointing controversial MP Ramesh Biduri as in-charge of Tonk Lok Sabha seat, Pilot said, “It is BJP’s decision as to who should be put in-charge of his Assembly seat. We do not want to comment on it, but it will be decided by the public.”
He said the party ticket will be given to deserving candidates and the party is doing that exercise to find out the winnable candidates. “The party and Rahul Gandhi is in favour of giving more opportunity to the youth. But they should be winnable and dedicated to the party and connect with the people,” said the Congress leader.
Targeting the BJP, Pilot said a single party has got an absolute majority after 1984 but it could not implement its pompous slogans on the ground. All sections of the people are now worried- farmers, youth and small industries. The rich have become filthy rich while the poor has become poorer under Modi rule. So, the people now want change, he said.
Pilot said the BJP is undecided and directionless and unable to speak to the people on its vision and its leadership in the state. The uncertainty and leadership tussle in the party is coming out in the open. The raids, interrogation of journalists’ places is an attempt to suppress independent media with the use of state power. It reflects the fear of the ruling party at the Centre over the change in the thinking of the common people. The action on the media people is not a healthy tradition. I condemn the action, he said.
