Security Tightened: Security Tightened Across States Ahead Of Brijmandal Yatra | Jaipur News
Jaipur: As the proposed Brijmandal Yatra scheduled for August 28 in the Nuh Mewat area of Haryana looms closer, security preparations have been put in motion. In an effort to ensure a peaceful environment, Director General of Police for Haryana, Shatrujeet Kapur, convened a meeting with senior police officers from five states, including Rajasthan.
During the meeting, which included participants from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan, discussions centered around maintaining order during the impending Yatra and preventing any potential disruptions. Anand Srivastava, Additional Director General of Law and Order, Rajasthan, joined the meeting via video conferencing and expressed Rajasthan’s commitment to maintaining stability in the region. Shatrujeet Kapur urged his counterparts from neighboring states to closely monitor hate speech and activities on social media platforms. “We too have shared our inputs and assured that we will not allow groups from Alwar, Bhiwadi, and Deeg districts to move towards Haryana for the Yatra, as DG Haryana informed us that no permission has been granted for the event,” Srivastava confirmed after the meeting.
The proposed Brijmandal Yatra is under scrutiny, particularly in light of past incidents of violence in the Nuh Mewat area, which occurred on July 31. Now, Haryana has not granted permission for the Yatra, authorities are taking proactive measures to prevent any untoward incidents. “We were informed that organizers of the Yatra are mobilizing people from various states, including Rajasthan. Through proper barricading and stringent checks at the Rajasthan-Haryana border, we are committed to ensuring that individuals do not cross over to Haryana from our side,” Srivastava emphasized.
In response to the security concerns, Srivastava issued directives to the Superintendents of Police in Alwar, Deeg, and Bhiwadi to bolster border security through effective barricading and thorough vehicle checks. Additionally, the commitment to mutual information sharing and cooperation with Haryana was underscored to foster a coordinated approach.
