Self-defense Training For Girls At Raj Govt Schools | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Girls of government schools in the state will be given self-defense training from this academic session under the Rani Laxmibai self-defense programme, said officials on Monday.
From Monday onwards, Shruti Bhardwaj, commissioner and state project director of Rajasthan Council of School Education launched a 10-day training program for physical training instructors in collaboration with Rajasthan Police.
“Self-defense is not only our right but it is also our duty, which we should perform under any circumstances. Under this initiative so far over 20 lakh girls have been benefited in the state. In this special state level training, women trainers from different districts will be taught the nuances of self-defense, after which they will further train girls studying in government schools,” said Bhardwaj.
Officials said that female PTI will also be given detailed information about women’s rights and laws so that they can teach girls about their rights and laws during the training sessions.
