Senior Tax Official Missing For 4 Days | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The city police have formed multiple teams to track down Sanjay Gupta, a joint commissioner in the state taxation department, who has been missing for four days now.
According to police, Gupta left his house on Saturday evening, informing his family that he was going out to attend a wedding.
“The officer told his family that he would return home soon in his last phone call. When he did not come home, the family filed a report at Mahesh Nagar police station on Sunday,” said an officer, adding that teams are searching for him in several cities.
DCP (South) Yogesh Goyal said that Gupta’s last known location was near Bassi, but despite an extensive search operation, no significant leads have been found.
Gupta, who serves as joint tax commissioner in the state GST office, has remained unreachable on his phone.
“He did not have any enmity with anyone. We do have some important information but that is subject to corroboration,” said one officer.
To intensify the search, police have taken help of technical wings within the city police. “We are actively reviewing CCTV footage from different locations. Although Gupta claimed to be attending a wedding, we have found no evidence of it,” said an officer. TNN
