Sensitive Booths: Election Dept Reduces Sensitive Booth Count | Jaipur News

Jaipur: In comparison to the previous state assembly elections, the district election department has reduced the number of sensitive booths by 291 in Jaipur district.
According to the election department figures, 1,388 sensitive booths have been declared in 19 constituencies of Jaipur district, compared to 1,679 in the 2018 assembly elections.
An official said, “Special monitoring measureswill be implemented at these identified polling stations. After polling booths in these constituencies witnessed untoward incidents during the previous elections, the department plans to enhance security measures and introduce videography. Directives have been issued to the police commissioner, district DCPs, and District Superintendents of Police to facilitate the initiative.” Hawa Mahal assembly constituency tops the list with 115 sensitive booths, which is an increase from 106 booths in 2018. It is followed by Jhotwara, which has 103 such booths. Malviya Nagar has the least number of sensitive booths, with 28.
An official source mentioned, “In the past election, Hawa Mahal was not the constituency with the maximum sensitive booths; it was Phulera with 144 sensitive booths. However, this time, BJP has fielded Balmukundacharya, who is already positioned as a firebrand Hindu leader. As Muslims are also an important electoral factor here, vigilance has increased.”
The District Election Officer has instructed the police officers to keep an eye on activities around the polling booths, besides banning individuals with criminal tendencies and inspecting the polling booths regularly.

Sensitivity to common food may significantly up risk of heart disease: Study
A new study suggests that sensitivity to common food allergens like dairy and peanuts could be a previously unappreciated cause of heart disease and increase the risk of cardiovascular death. The study found that individuals who produced antibodies in response to these foods had an elevated risk of cardiovascular-related death, with the strongest link observed for cow’s milk. Even individuals who did not have obvious food allergies but produced these antibodies were at risk. The study highlights the need to further investigate the impact of food allergies on heart health.
