Several Pvt Hosps Urge Govt To Renew Chiranjeevi Registrations | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Even as private hospital organisations have called for boycott of Chiranjeevi health insurance scheme to protest the Right To Health (RTH) Bill, several private hospitals are clandestinely reaching out to the health department to get their registration renewed under the scheme.
The last date for renewal of registration is February 28 and in Jaipur alone over 100 private hospitals have already renewed their registration ignoring the private hospitals association’s appeal.
Dr Vijay Chaudhary, chief medical health officer, Jaipur (I) said, “Over 50 private hospitals have applied for renewal of registration under the scheme in Jaipur (I).” He said that the last date is approaching which is February 28.
In Jaipur II, around 70% private hospitals have already applied for it. “In Jaipur (II), there are around 92 private hospitals empaneled in the first phase. Out of those, at least 65 have signed the agreement for renewal,” said Dr B L Meena, CMHO (Jaipur II).
The health department has launched second phase of Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana (2023-25) and it is empanelling government and private hospitals. For the purpose, a tripartite agreement is being signed between empenaled healthcare provider, Rajasthan State Health Assurance Agency and the New India Assurance Company Limited.
Private hospitals association had appealed to hospitals not to renew their registration for 2023-25 phase of Chiranjeevi due to protest against the Right To Health Bill.
